Description: This study explores the present and future alternatives for moving towards lowcarbon electricity production in the Republic of Macedonia. In a broader sense, we aim to assist the deepening of local and international NGO capacity for addressing energy system issues, while creating the space for a public debate about future energy development in the country that takes into account latest technical and policy innovations in the domains of low carbon electricity generation and energy efficiency improvements.
