Опис: Public participation is an essential element that enables citizens to reaffirm the right to a healthy environment in practice, and at the same time to fulfill their duty to protect the environment. Decision makers also enjoy benefits from the public participation, since this process provides additional information, which increases the likelihood that the decision will not have a detrimental impact on the environment and it will be more easily accepted by the general public.
